Ever wonder what a Life Coach is or what they do? In this blog I will explain what a Life Coach is and the difference between them and psychologists.

A Life Coach is someone that helps you identify your goals in life and creates an action plan to help you achieve these goals to maximise your full potential with support every step of the way.

But how exactly do they help? Depending on what goals you would like to achieve, the definitions of a Life Coach can vary and that’s why there are so many different coaches out there. For example, you have:

  • business coaches,
  • spiritual coaches,
  • relationship coaches,
  • stress management coaches

the list goes on….

They encourage you to step outside your comfort zone, while also helping you overcome certain challenges or obstacles you may face. A coach may council you from time to time, but does not give advice like a counsellor or psychologist may do.

One great way to think when working with one is to think of it as a partnership. Working together as a team to achieve anything you wish, the world is your oyster. Sometimes you just need a little push or what I say “your own personal cheerleader, cheering you on to live the life you truly want and can live.”

Here is a small list of things you can work on with them:

  • Building confidence
  • Finding the right career path for you
  • Form better relationships
  • Time management
  • Stress relief
  • Productivity

Anything you feel you might need guidance with or need someone to make a plan of action with, they are there for you.

A lot of people wonder if they need a Life Coach, so I have created a simple quiz that will hopefully answer that question and give some clarity.
